Construyendo Coaliciones para la Reforma de la Justicia

Una estrategia efectiva para lograr reformas importantes es el poder unir fuerzas con otras organizaciones o individuos a través de una coalición. Una coalición (1) está conformada por diversos grupos e individuos (2) que comparten un propósito común (3) que trabajan juntos por un período de tiempo para alcanzar ese propósito. Construir o participar en coaliciones permite a las organizaciones contar con un fondo común de recursos limitados, desarrollar estrategias comprehensivas, ganar apoyo político y compartir el trabajo.

What is restorative justice?

Restorative justice is a theory of justice that emphasizes repairing the harm caused or revealed by criminal behaviour. It is best accomplished through cooperative processes that include all stakeholders.

Practices and programs reflecting restorative purposes will respond to crime by: (a) identifying and taking steps to repair harm, (b) involving all  stakeholders, and (c) transforming the traditional relationship between communities and their governments in responding to crime. more
